Asa Herrgård dates back to the 17th century, is located in the heart of the quiet forest, 10
km east of Lammhult by the northern point of the 120 km long lake system, which makes
Asa the perfect starting point for canoeing, fishing and hunting adventures! Our bright
and restfull hotelrooms are available in the manor wings and in the renovated farmhand
cottage. Asa is a modern hotel with a Sweden/Småland kitchen that uses organic and
local products such as fish from Åsnen and crayfish from Helgasjön. During the summer
2017 we open a café and Bed & Breakfast.
The manor's history stretches back to the middle ages and the farm has been in several
noble families of possession. In the old days it was said Asa have the most beautiful forests
in the whole Småland and now is a good opportunity to experience the tranquility and Asa
beautiful scenery along the paths and trails. There are also opportunities for fishing,
canoeing and sauna.
In the vicinity of the village is also exciting places Singoalla cave, Hörnebo slate quarry and
Nykulla Lookout Tower. In our reception you can get maps and information about current
excursions in and around, Asa, Lammhult and Växjö. Looking for furniture, interior design
items and there is something for everyone. Design Conscious adds passing Möbelriket with
flagships Svensson, Nilsson and Norrgavel in the lead, while a bit smaller and unique small
design and handicraft shops are found in Berg and Tolg. A large market for antique and flea
markets are in the countryside; closest to Asa's Brotsahemmet Antiques, mill in Tolg and
Östregård in Moheda.
