The Vilhelm Moberg room is a reconstruction of the author's writing cottage. Vilhelm Moberg was one of Sweden's greatest writers of the 20th century and is well known for "The Emigrants" (1949), a four-volume epic of Swedish immigration to America.

Vilhelm Moberg (1898-1973) was born in a soldier cottage in Moshultamåla, Småland. During his time, Moberg was Sweden's most-read novelist. Some of his well-known novels, besides the emigrant series, are Raskens, Ride this night, and A Time on Earth. He was also known as a journalist, play writer and cultural personage.
