Address: Braås Park, 360 42 BRAÅS
Braås Park is a nature reserve with an exciting cultural history. It has both deciduous and coniferous forests, a boulder-ridge and pastureland. Braås Manor is situated in the middle of the park and was mentioned already in the 16th Century. On the eastern side of the area you can find the lake Örken with a 4 kilometer long beach.
In the beginning of the 1800s, Baron Rappe constructed an English park and today it is still possible to see traces of its avenues, paths and stone monuments. The fileds and meadows you find in the nature reserve once belonged to the the manor. For more information, see www.lansstyrelsen.se.
