Consists of an area of open pasture and a beautiful oak and beech-dominated broad-leaved deciduous forest next to Bergundasjöarna (the Bergunda-lakes).
The deciduous forest has been allowed to grow old, and, on the remains of dead trees and stumps, there are interesting fungi, lichens and insects. Bokhultet is the home of many birds and what was previously a military training ground is now a popular destination for visitors. There are three marked paths in the area. A specially laid-out wetland in the middle of the park improves the quality of the storm water from parts of the town of Växjö.
