The fishing permits are sold at Växjö Tourist center.
Designated fishing areas: Helgasjön (The Helga Lake) up to the bridges by the motorway in Helgevärma – but not in the areas that are excluded due to fish conservation reasons; the northern part of the Åbyfiord, the Kvarn-creek, the area by the lock and the Örfjord.
Notice: Sport fishing is not permitted within approx. 100 meters of private bridges, properties or public swimming places. The permits cover fishing with coarse, fly, one set of spinner (lure) and jig-tackles. The permits are also valid for 6 tip up fishing devices or 6 icetools. The fishing permit must be brought with you when fishing, and should be presented upon request.
- Day permit: 100 SEK
- Week permit: 400 SEK
- Year permit: 800 SEK. Also valid as a family card.
- Junior permit: 150 SEK. Valid for youths between 15 and 18 years old. Children under 15 years old fish without license but are obliged to follow the same rules as those who fish with a card.
- Trolling, day permit: 300 SEK.
- Trolling, year permit: 1200 SEK.
Fishing permit for trolling: Valid for fishing with maximum 4 fishing rods in the lake (except for the Åbyfjord due to fish conservation reasons). The permit is also valid as the above mentioned. The fishing permit must be brought with you when fishing, and should be presented upon request.
Group permit: e.g. for fishing contests, schools or companies are bought through the board after individual agreement on time and price.
Minimum fish sizes: 40 cm for brown trout, 50 cm for pike and 45 cm for perch-pike.
Maximum fish sizes: no size for brown trout, 75 cm for pike and 65 cm for perch-pike.
Fish smaller than minimum or larger than maximum size shall be released at the catching point, regardless of condition.
Max 2 fishes, pike-perch or pike, per fishing license and day.
The catching of brown trout between the dates of 15th October and 31st December is forbidden. The catching of pike-perch during May is forbidden.
